Building libraries and entertainment
centers is pure entertainment for the cabinetmaker. With the dramatic advances in
audio visual equipment, entertainment centers are a great
revenue opportunity for the cabinet makers.

Redwood Shores, CA: This entertainment center provided for all
requirements of the owner. A large screen TV is behind the pocket doors on
a 500 pound capacity drawer glide. |
The dark gray glass door provides for
VCR, tuner, amplifier, CD player and tape player. Infrared rays from the
remote controls pass through the glass. All are mounted on a
single full extension drawer glide providing access to the rear of the
components. The tapes and CDs are stored to
the left. The aquarium at the right replaced the wood burning fireplace.
Doors above and to the left of the aquarium provide access to the tank and
filtration equipment.

Royal Oaks, CA: This center finds the TV and satellite control
behind tambour doors. Audio equipment is behind dark gray glass, and is
mounted on full extension drawer glides providing access to the rear of
the components. Lower storage provides for video and audio tapes, CDs, LP
record albums and photo albums. |
| Pebble Beach, CA: The library in
this architect's home makes it easy to keep the books and memorabilia in
an attractive setting. The shelves are 1¼" solid Honduran mahogany.
All paneling is mahogany veneer over ¾" medium density fiberboard (MDF) |
